Vrushika Mehta, who relocated to Canada after getting married, made a special trip to Mumbai specifically for Navratri celebrations. The actress from Dil Dosti Dance (D3) shares, “As a Gujarati, my love for Navratri and garba runs deep in my veins. No festivity feels complete without it. The music energizes me, and I can start dancing garba at any time, anywhere (laughs).” She expresses, “I enjoy dressing up, meeting friends, and dancing. Even though I have always resided in Mumbai, I have been told that to truly savor the essence of Navratri, I should visit Gujarat. It is definitely on my bucket list, and I hope to fulfill this wish someday.”

Reflecting on her childhood memories of the festival, Vrushika recalls, “My mother used to dress me up and would bribe me with chocolates to stay still while she painted three dots on my chin. I was highly competitive and determined to win a prize each night. It was all about dancing away joyfully and feeling like a little star.”

When discussing her preferred Navratri attire, she mentions, “I adore flared chaniya cholis but opt for lightweight ones to ensure comfort and grace in my spins. For jewelry, if I am shooting a reel, I choose bold pieces to make a statement. However, if I am dancing, I opt for delicate pieces that complement my outfit.”She expresses her childhood aspiration to excel in garba competitions one day. Recalling her cherished memories of the festival, she fondly reminisces about her mother dressing her up and using chocolates to keep her still while drawing three dots on her chin. With a competitive spirit, she was determined to win a prize each night by putting her heart into dancing and feeling like a little star. Her preferred Navratri attire includes lightweight flared chaniya cholis that allow graceful spins. For jewelry, she opts for heavier pieces during video shoots for a statement look, but chooses delicate pieces for dancing to complement her outfit. She eagerly anticipates celebrating Navratri with her husband, Saurabh, who has a different garba style she looks forward to learning. While they haven't had the chance to celebrate together yet, they did enjoy playing garba during their wedding events. Vrushika reveals her fondness for spins, popatiyu, dodhiyu, and trikoniya moves in garba. She highlights "Dakla" as one of her favorite garba songs for its energetic vibe and praises Falguni Pathak for setting the perfect Navratri mood with her iconic songs. Recalling a memorable on-set experience during Navratri on the show Dil Dosti Dance, Vrushika recalls the joy of shooting the garba sequence for "Dholi Taro Dhol Baaje" that turned into a lively half-day event, complemented by garba parties as part of the D3 cast get-togethers.
